Reverse Circulation Drill Pipes

RC Drill Pipes Double Wall Drill Rods

Reverse circulation drill pipe, also known as double-wall drill pipe, is a drilling tool used for reverse circulation drilling. It consists of two layers of drill pipe (called inner pipe and outer pipe). An annular gap is formed between the inner and outer pipes. During drilling, the circulating medium flows from the annular gap of the double-wall drill pipe to the bottom of the well.

The central hole of the inner pipe discharges the circulating medium and brings the core back to the ground. The outer pipes of each double-wall drill pipe are connected by threads to ensure the transmission of torque and pressure. The inner pipes are mostly connected by plugs, which generally play the role of circulating medium. A sealing device is installed on the plug joint. Reverse circulation drilling can effectively prevent well wall collapse and improve drilling efficiency.

Reverse circulation drill pipe has the following characteristics:

1. Large diameter, high strength, good wear resistance, suitable for various hardness formations;

2. Fast injection speed, good mud-free, good cleaning effect;

3. Easy to disassemble, easy to maintain and replace.

Reverse circulation drill pipe is suitable for drilling under various geological conditions, such as mines, tunnels, foundation pits, etc. Especially when large diameter holes need to be drilled, reverse circulation drill pipe shows its unique advantages.
